Realme C12 Review – Smartphone with battery life

Looking at the above configuration table, it is clear that the biggest highlight in this product is the 6,000 mAh capacity battery, the largest among smartphones currently priced at 3 million VND. In particular, the battery of this phone supports reverse charging for other devices like the function of a backup charger. Aside from the battery, are the remaining elements of the Realme C12 worth noting any more? Let’s follow Lifezfood to find out the detail in Realme C12 Review!

Design and display

The design of Realme C12 has the same features as envisioning a popular smartphone with a large battery. The product has a thick and heavy body (9.8mm and 209g), plastic frame and back, water drop screen, not a hole or a protruding camera.

The plus point in the design of this phone is that the back is lumpy, the grip is very grip, but it is not as easy to get dirty as the phone with a glossy surface. The machine is also made sure, click on the areas on the back that do not see rickety. Perhaps the back is not slippery, does not stick to fingerprints and the phone itself is quite thick, so the manufacturer does not include a case. In fact, we found that this phone really doesn’t need a case.

Realme C12 also added a fingerprint sensor on the back, details of the previous Realme C11 version have been removed. The machine also has 2 SIM slots and its own memory card, with an audio jack, unfortunately still uses a micro-USB port, not a USB Type C port, which is already popular in the cheap segment.

Display quality is also quite good, bright colors, brightness can be used in most environments but not enough to watch comfortably outdoors. The device has an option for users to adjust the color temperature according to their preferences.

Performance and software

Realme C12 is equipped with Helio G35 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3Ghz, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory and external memory card slot to expand capacity. Although introduced as the processor for the gaming experience on cheap smartphones, the Helio G35 can only play light games, but not powerful enough to “fight” graphics-heavy games like PUBG Mobile.

Some shooters with moderate graphics like Dead Triggers 2 are pretty good, with an average frame rate of about 48 fps. But with PUBG Mobile game, the player is jerky, only being close to 25 fps at the lowest graphics setting (Smooth mode).

In terms of software, Realme C12 currently pre-installed customized Realme UI software based on Android 10. The Realme UI interface looks simple, close to the interface of pure Android and also has its own application tray. Realme UI’s software features are similar to Color OS on Oppo devices, equipped with many gesture controls, with a mode to improve the gaming experience and use two accounts in parallel (Facebook, Zalo, Messenger…).

In addition to the basic Google apps and its own apps, Realme also pre-installed a number of third-party apps like Facebook Lite, Lazada, Tiktok, Agoda, Laban Key, and Zing MP3. These are applications that manufacturers pre-installed on the device before being sold to the market, not system applications, so users can delete them if there is no need to use them.

Battery Life

Realme has made some big claims about the 6,000mAh cell that is housed inside the C12. The company has said that the phone can offer about 46 hours of talk time, 60 hours of Spotify, 10 hours of PUBG, 24 hours of Instagram or 28 hours of YouTube. While I did not have the time to test all these claims, I was extremely impressed with the battery life for day-to-day use. The C12 does take over from the C11 which also packed in the same 6,000mAh cell.

On top of that, Realme has also added a Super Power Saving Mode which will further extend its remarkable battery life. The company claims, that on this mode the phone can play YouTube for 2 hours on just 5 percent battery. My tests showed it to be around the 90 minute mark which is still impressive. The device does not support any kind of fast charging, which means it takes ages to charge the phone. The 10W charger inside the box can juice up the device from 0-100 percent in 3 hours.
